Primary Instructor: Ben Herbert
This course is principles-based and designed to teach students how tactical drones can be effectively integrated into close-quarter battle environments. Students will begin with the fundamentals of drone operation, including flight controls, safety procedures, and drone capabilities, before progressing to advanced tactical applications within structures.
Training focuses on operating a drone from within the stack, communicating intelligence to the team, navigating confined spaces, and supporting room clearance and target identification procedures.
The course consists of practical exercises, force-on-paper scenarios, and scenario-based training designed to provide a high repetition count with minimal downtime. Students will gain an understanding of how small tactical drones can significantly enhance CQB operations and increase the safety and effectiveness of the team.
No previous drone experience is required, and all training equipment will be provided by NWTGR where necessary.
