Stage 2 CQB – Intermediate Structure Clearance

Primary Focus:
Integration of individual and partnered CQB skills under increased cognitive load. Emphasis on decision-making, problem solving, communication, and accountability while operating in complex structures against adaptive opposition.

Building on Stage 1 fundamentals, students will refine weapon manipulations, movement, angles, and body positioning while transitioning from isolated techniques into fluid, problem-based structure clearance. Scenarios will introduce layered threats, unknown contacts, and changing environmental factors to stress judgment and consistency rather than speed alone.

Primary Instructor: Ben H

This course remains principles-based, reinforcing why techniques work rather than prescribing a single method of clearance. Students will progress from structured drills into full-scenario runs that demand efficient movement, threat discrimination, and coordination with a partner.

Training will include:
-
Force on paper and force on force (FoF)
-
Solo and two-person problem solving
-
Increased complexity in room geometry and threat placement
-
Verbal communication and non-verbal cues under stress
-
Consequence-based learning through scenario outcomes
-
Detaining and search procedures

There will be no live fire but will be some physical contact between students and role players. The course is designed for high repetition with minimal downtime, ensuring students spend the majority of the class actively working problems.
Instructors will oversee all repetitions and scenario flow. Students may act as FoF role players, or NWTGR may provide additional role players depending on course needs and pacing.

Prerequisite: Stage 1 CQB

Packing list:
